Brewers Force Game 7; A

By 0 Permalink 0

Hi all. Here’s how I see baseball on this Saturday, Oct. 20. The Dodgers’ offense continues to struggle and the Brewers have forced a game 7, winner goes to the World Series game. They did it with a 7–2 demolition of the Dodgers who had won games 4 and 5. Also we’ll use baseball’s wayback machine and turn back the pages of history. If readers like this,, I plan to do a few more tributes to past World Series games as the modern World Series goes on.
Hyun-Jin Ryu just didn’t have it for the Dodgers last night. The Brewers, whose offense hasn’t been anything special either, got 4 runs off Ryu and batted around in the very first inning. After that, as an old wrestling announcer used to say, “it was Katie Bar the Door.” Jesus Aguilar had 3 hits, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Ryan Braun and Lorenzo Cain also had 2 hits as the team pounded out 11 safeties against the Dodgers. They had been given hope when David Freese led off the top of the first by taking a Wade Miley pitch out of the lot. Freese also drove in the Dodgers’ other run with a double in the fifth and kept Wade Miley from getting credit for the win. Cory Knebel (Pronounced KahNayBell) got the win by getting two out in the fifth and pitching a clean 6th. Josh Hader didn’t have to work, so he’ll be ready to back up tonight’s starter, Jhoulys Chacin.
The look back I planned to write will have to be done tomorrow owing to circumstances beyond my control.
